Is steak a favorite of yours? When I heard steak, I'll be thinking of ordering it or eating it in a posh restaurant or in a hotel where you can find the best tasting steak in town. One place I've known just recently when my husband and his boss went there to dine through the invitation of the owner , the place is so exclusive that  in order to dine there you must have a prior appointment. It's called Abaca Boutique Resort & Restaurant it's one of the most exclusive resort in Cebu located in Mactan Island who provides a full service California-Mediterranean inspired  restaurant and bar. It is about an hour away from Cebu City, located near the airport, way past Shangri-la Mactan.

When my husband and his boss arrived they were offered the best seats in the house in an air-cooled restaurant  in an  open air patio, which looks out into the sea. In the menu he ordered *Mortadella Flatbed Pizza for starters and *Braised Beef short-rib for the main course. When I asked how it's like, with my mouth watering just the thought of beef since it's my favorite and his verdict was it's amazingly prepared and succulently good tasting beef he ever had for quite sometime. I knew he can easily differentiate best tasting food more than I am since he's in the food service industry for 17 years and been going around in Cebu's hotels and restaurants who have had tasted the best food they  have  served. The place is a good hang-out place for drinking while waiting for the food or eating dessert after the main course, he added. In general he found  the food very delectable , the service is good and the ambience is perfect.

So I was so delighted to hear his experience and asked if he could treat me there someday, he looked at me and said if I'll get a raise maybe I could take you there someday, since he would need a hefty budget in order to dine there.  To my dismay I have to wait for quite sometime, but who knows it will be sooner than I thought�just a wishful thinking.

Anyway, now I knew a place where I can recommend to food lovers whose willing to spend a fortune to experience a real fine dining  place whose  serving  the best food and quality wines in a very exquisite  surrounding.

Braised Beef Shortrib (P905 +10% SC +12% VAT). Celery root puree, wild mushrooms.
